How do I exhibit my art on Veerkant?
Can my art be exhibited in other galleries?
Sure, we have know pre-emtioin rights. In case you sell your picture somewhere else, we would kindly ask you to inform us.
How do I get paid?
Should we sell one of your paintings, we will manage the entire sales process for you. We will than transfer the money to your preferred account, once the painting is shipped.
How much does it cost to sell my art on Veerkant?
There are no fixed costs at Veerkant. You can upload your art for free. When we sell your painting we take a 30% commission fee.
How do you set a price?
The price is completely your choice but our curators are always happy to help you.
Do I have contact to customers?
No, the entire sales management and customer care is handled by Veerkant.
How many pictures do I have to submit?
We want every artist to exhibit at least 5 paintings. This offers a potential buyer the chance to get an impression of the artist's portfolio.
Can I delete my profile on Veerkant?
Yes, though we would regret your decision to leave us, a simple mail is enough to delete your profile and all paintings.
Who ships my paining?
After a painting is sold, we will contact you to discuss the next steps.
We do not only supply you with a detailed step-by-step manual and shipping information, but can also organise a pickup service for your pictures.
How to prepare a painting for shipping?
You will be provided with a detailed shipping manual once one of your painting get sold. We are happy to help, in case you need any assistance
Why do I need a profile picture?
A profile picture helps customers to connect you and ultimately buy your artwork.
What is a good profile picture?
We advice you to use a square head and shoulder portrait.
What are the requirements for a photo of painting?
There are a couple of steps towards a good photo:
- Use indirect and natural light, preferable form big window.
- Use a tripod or find another flat surface to rest your camera upon.
- Make sure that the camera and your painting are parallel.
- Set the proper white balance (daylight: ~5600k).
- Set you ISO as low as possible (≤ISO200).
- Do not use a flash.
- Use a standard or tele lens/setting. No wide angle!
- Set your lens to the sharpest aperture (f/5.6).
- Finally, corp you picture as you would see it in a frame.
Can I only exhibit paintings on Veerkant?
No, only for the time being. We are very busy developing showrooms for other kinds of art.
Do I have to register to buy a painting on Veerkant?
No, you don't need to register and there is no shopping cart. Just click on buy and the painting is almost at your doorstep.
Is there any place where I can look at the actual painting?
We put all our passion and work into delivering the best possible art experience. However on request we can make contact to artists.
What payment methods are accepted?
We currently accept PayPal, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and prepayment.
How much do I pay for shipping?
There are no shipping fees. We always deliver for free.
How long takes shipping? Is there an express shipping option?
Shipping takes about 7 working days. We are not able to offer an express option for insurance reasons.
Can I return a painting?
Sure, we offer a 14 return policy.
What to do if I make a mistake during my order? How do I cancel my order?
To chance or cancel an order you can simply contact us via phone or email.
Where can I check my order or delivery status?
We will send you an order confirmation containing a link to a status page the instance your order arrives us. Of course we will also notify you via email about any status chances.
What happens if a painting is damaged on arrival?
Make sure to contact us as soon as possible. Our team will handle your refund and the return shipment.
Can I contact an artist?
It is not possible to directly contact artists on Veerkant. Please contact us if you have questions regarding an artist or painting.
How can I be sure to buy an original?
Every painting on Veerkant gets sold directly from the artist. We verify the identify of every artist in our portfolio. A plagiarism is impossible.
